salvaged electrical cables, bamboo, steel
Sculpture Inside, Bondi, November 2019
Purchased by The ResMed collection.
This small scale work is made usually essentially the same technique as my large scale works – tightly tangled electrical cables salvaged from the rubbish using a very time consuming, hand hurting, labour intensive process.
It was the first time I had experimented with an aged copper applied coating (once again by Axolotl). The contrast was a fair bit grater than i expected once it was sealed so next time I use copper, if there is one, I’ll use a brown aged Florentine and not a black one.

Detail of aged copper coating that used a black florentine.
